Visiting Denver for a convention, conference, or downtown work assignment? The Convention Center District is more than just a location — it’s the heart of Denver’s culture, food scene, and city life. From world-class dining to accessible transit, this area has everything you need for business, leisure, or a mix of both.
At Elevated Furnished Rentals, we provide travelers with high quality Denver Convention Center lodging options so they can experience Denver like a local, with spacious, fully furnished apartments and lofts that combine comfort, convenience, and culture — many that are just minutes from the Colorado Convention Center.

Here is our guide for you if you are visiting the Convention Center district and want some helpful hints from a native who also happens to live in the downtown area as well, and often travels for work, so understands a lot of your Denver business travel needs and expectations as you visit the area!
Walkable Dining & Drinks
The Convention Center District is packed with exceptional restaurants and coffee shops within a short walk. Here are just a few of our recommendations out of the many options you will find:
Breakfast & Coffee:
Start your day at Vibe, an expansive and high quality coffee shop offering many great caffeinated beverages, teas, adaptogenic lattes, and wine in the evening. They also have small food options, including quality vegan breakfast burritos if that's your jam.
Grab a pour-over and a more substantial breakfast with all of the classic options at The Delectable Egg.
Try another classic hole-in-the-wall breakfast spot just a 5-minute walk from the Convention Center: Dozens. They have all of the great comfort food breakfast options in a quaint, cozy atmosphere.
Lunch Spots:
If you have time for a sit-down meal, make sure you check out Sam's No. 3 diner. It's a classic, in business since 1927. And they serve up a very extensive menu covering all of your typical diner classics, and some award-winning green chili. A 7-minute walk from the Colorado Convention Center.
Another lunch option for those with more limited time is Corporate Deli and Grill. Fast casual, great sandwiches. An excellent choice for the sandwich love. The menu is long, and everything is high quality.
Finally, if you are in the area on a warmer day, you should definitely check out the food trucks on 16th Street and Welton. Some of the best BBQ Hawaiian chicken you'll have in the area is found at Kealoha's BBQ truck (if you can catch them when they're open. They make their own hours). And Liang's Thai is always serving up fresh Thai favorites. It's a great way to enjoy some sunshine while you have great food.
Dinner & Drinks:
Ready for a splurge and excellent dining experience? We have numerous steak houses in the area that are great. You really can't go wrong with any of them, but the one I will recommend here is Guard & Grace. This is a Michelin Guide-recommended restaurant from Troy Guard, who has been behind many of Denver's quality restaurants over the years, and this does not disappoint. Great for Happy Hour or a nice full dinner complete with grass fed filet mignon. 9-minute walk from the Convention Center.
Feeling some Italian? Head to 17th and Champa to Panzano. This is an award-winning Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere and reliable quality on all the staples.
For a fun vibe, good drinks, and familiar Mexican-American comfort food, check out Casa Tequila's.
Experience The Cooper Lounge, a speakeasy-type cocktail lounge at the top of the historic Union Station. They serve appetizers and have a limited dinner menu, and excellent cocktails.

And a bonus if you're up for a short drive: Enjoy Japanese fine dining at Kizaki (15 min drive from The Elevated Gallery and Capitol Hill properties).
Staying with Elevated Furnished Rentals means you’re steps from most of these culinary gems — perfect for a relaxing evening after a full day at the convention center.
